My career in real estate began within days of my arrival in Maine from California. I accepted the challenge of building a now-flourishing rentals business for a local real estate agency, then moved on to selling real estate on a full-time basis.
I've lived in many different areas of the country -- the entire East Coast from Maine to Florida, then west to South Texas and on to Southern California. I bring with me both hands-on and management experience in local, national and international procurement for the steel fabrication, automotive manufacturing and appliance manufacturing industries. The move to Maine was a welcome decision to join family and friends and finally put down roots on 'the rockbound coast of Maine'.
As a result of a background in new-business start-ups and floundering-business turn-arounds, I have developed considerable expertise in problem-solving and crisis management -- skills that lend themselves to the challenge of buying and selling real estate. And, since over the years I've picked up and moved wherever in the country I was needed, I came to the profession fully versed in the intricacies of selling my own properties, buying new ones and learning the ropes in new parts of the country. I consider myself an 'expert' in relocating myself and, as a result, am a reliable resource on relocation for my clients. With many buyers coming to coastal Maine from different parts of the country, my own experience doing so is invaluable.
My hobbies include residential renovations, interior design and participation in local government. I live with my husband on Bailey Island, Town of Harpswell, in Mid-Coast Maine.
